So, you've been adulting for a while but suddenly life happens!  You've started to feel like things are falling outside of your control... It happens to the best of us.  It can feel like it's out of the blue or maybe you've been feeling like this for a while.  Either way, help is needed.  I have done some adulting myself and learned a few tricks along the way to help ease and minimize some of the feelings that surface along the way.  Are you feeling stressed, anxious, or worried? Maybe you're feeling self-doubt, low confidence, or your self-esteem has taken a hit?  Do you find yourself overthinking or worrying too much about the future?  Lately, are you struggling with low mood or lethargy, and finding yourself staying home more and doing less of the things you used to love?  If so, let's talk about it.  I find the simple act of just naming what's happening for you can provide some immediate relief and set the foundation for some further exploration and discovery of who you are despite all of these feelings.  It's time to reconnect with yourself.

It may be that, by leaving these feelings and emotions unaddressed, it can lead to problems at work, with family or friends, in other significant relationships and, most importantly, can impact your physical, emotional, and mental well-being.  Or maybe you've noticed these problems are already happening, which is why you're here today, looking for some support.

I recently learned that some researchers believe that the adult brain has not fully developed until the age of 30!  It used to be by around the age of 24, just an FYI!  There are probably a multitude of reasons of why that is but do the reasons really matter? In my opinion, no, it's more about the experience of the growing pains associated with that development or with the changes or disruptions that we experience throughout our lifetime. Now, don't get all worried if you're coming to me after the age of 30, if an old dog CAN learn new tricks then so can we!  How do I know?  Well, I have an old dog and when food is involved he'll do anything, even learning a new trick or two!  Humans and animals are blessed with the amazing capacity to adapt!
