My Therapeutic Approach
My work is informed by various theories and orientations that I believe allow me to meet you where you're at with a keen understanding of the human condition. At the core of the following, is the foundational importance of the therapeutic relationship for change and healing. Something I find extremely valuable and necessary for me to be of help to you.
-
Adlerian Psychology speaks to the human need for belonging and significance. The belief in a persons propensity for change guides their striving to meet their goals and achieve success (e.g. happiness, contentment, satisfaction, etc.)
-
Attachment Psychology focuses on relationship and connection with significant people on which social and emotional health rests upon from birth to adulthood. People can learn how to navigate life and beliefs are formed through the experiences in their significant relationships.
-
Person-Centered Psychology believes that human potential for growth and transformation can be found within each person and through a non-directive approach, people can explore this potential for change with a respectful, supportive, and empathic guide.
